Founded in November 2022, the Foundation was established in honour of the late Madam Gladys Ayebea Hammond. Though she did not have the opportunity for formal education herself, she demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to learning by ensuring all seven of her children were educated. Her belief in the life-changing power of education and sport continues to inspire our work today.

Sport as a tool for inspiration and change.
We use sport — particularly hockey — to inspire, educate, and empower young girls. Our core programs include:

From secondary school to what comes next.
Our primary aim is to support girls aged 13 to 18 in completing their secondary education and successfully transitioning into tertiary education and/or meaningful career pathways. We are committed to equipping young girls with the tools, confidence, and opportunities they need to build brighter futures.
