Mr. Richard Hammond
Founder & CEO
Richard Hammond is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the GAH Foundation, a charity dedicated to transforming the lives of young people through education, sport, mentorship, and leadership development. Inspired by a deep belief that every child deserves the opportunity to fulfil their potential, Richard established the Foundation to create lasting pathways for young people—particularly girls—to overcome barriers and build brighter futures.
With more than two decades of leadership experience across the public, private, and charitable sectors, Richard combines strategic vision with a genuine passion for community development. Under his leadership, the GAH Foundation has expanded its reach year on year, creating opportunities for hundreds of young people through educational support, sporting initiatives, and mentoring programmes that foster confidence, resilience, and ambition.
Richard believes that meaningful change is achieved through collaboration, integrity, and investing in people. He is committed to building partnerships with individuals, organisations, and communities who share the Foundation’s vision of empowering the next generation to become leaders and changemakers in their own right.
Holding an MBA in Project Management, an MSc in Finance, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management, Richard brings professional expertise together with a heartfelt commitment to making a lasting social impact.
Ms. Elizabeth King
BOARD MEMBER
Ms. Elizabeth King, is a highly respected public servant and passionate advocate for the empowerment of women and young people, Madam King dedicated more than 38 years of distinguished service to the Ghana Prisons Service, rising to the rank of Director of Prisons—the second-highest position within the Service. Throughout her career, she earned a reputation for integrity, humility, disciplined leadership, and an unwavering commitment to serving others.
A lifelong hockey enthusiast, she has been a trailblazer in Ghanaian sport since representing the country as one of the founding members of the National Women’s Hockey Team in the early 1970s. She later established the Prisons Ladies Hockey Team, which grew into one of Ghana’s most successful women’s hockey teams, while championing greater opportunities for women in sports leadership, coaching, and officiating. Her contributions have extended to the African Hockey Federation, Ghana Hockey Association, the Ghana Olympic Committee, and numerous international sporting events across Africa, Europe, and Asia.
As a member of the GAH Foundation, she brings a wealth of leadership experience, mentorship, and a deep passion for empowering young people—particularly girls—to realise their full potential through education, sport, and personal development. Holding Master’s degrees in Human Rights and Adult Education, together with qualifications in sports management and alternative dispute resolution, she remains committed to inspiring the next generation to lead with courage, integrity, and purpose.
Mr. Joseph Ocran

Joseph Ocran is an accomplished finance and business leader with more than 23 years of experience in financial management, strategic planning, treasury management, budgeting, and corporate governance. As General Manager of Beft Agro Consult Limited and Genea Way Consult Limited, he provides strategic leadership, driving operational excellence, sustainable growth, and sound financial management.
Throughout his career, Joseph has successfully led finance functions for both large and medium-sized organisations, developing robust financial strategies, strengthening governance, and implementing effective risk management frameworks. His ability to translate complex financial data into clear strategic insight has supported informed decision-making and long-term organisational success.
As a member of the GAH Foundation, Joseph brings extensive financial expertise, strategic vision, and a strong commitment to accountability and sustainability. He is passionate about ensuring that the Foundation’s resources are managed responsibly, enabling it to maximise its impact and create lasting opportunities for young people through education, mentorship, and community development.
Joseph holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom, combining academic excellence with practical leadership experience to support the Foundation’s mission of transforming lives and building stronger communities.
Mad. Evelyn Agyepong
ORGANIZER
Mad. Evelyn Agyepong is a dedicated early years educator with over 20 years of experience supporting the learning, development, and wellbeing of young children. Passionate about helping every child reach their full potential, she has devoted her career to creating safe, inclusive, and nurturing environments where children can grow in confidence, curiosity, and resilience.
Alongside her professional work in early childhood education, Evelyn has served as a voluntary children’s teacher within her local church for more than two decades, reflecting her longstanding commitment to mentoring and supporting young people beyond the classroom.
As a leader of the GAH Foundation, Evelyn brings compassion, educational expertise, and a deep understanding of child development to the Foundation’s mission of empowering young people through education, mentorship, and opportunity. She believes that investing in children today creates stronger communities and brighter futures for generations to come.
Evelyn holds a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Studies, a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Management and Bachelor of Education, combining academic knowledge with extensive practical experience to help shape programmes that make a lasting difference.
